Alternative singer-songwriter Haley Pate’s work is visceral, intricate, and intentional all at once. As Lou Oma, she fits elements of folk, electronic, indie and experimental music like mosaics into songs that highlight the conflict between well thought-out explanation and deepest instinct.

On a bed of textured guitar and synth instrumentals, her voice shines through across her debut album Enfold, ruminating and hypothesizing about what it is to be human. Inspired by acts like Adrianne Lenker, Bjork, Arthur Russell, Thom Yorke, and Broadcast, she has evolved from rambling guitar compositions to experimenting with alien tones and electronic sounds. Crafted across three years of growth as a writer and producer, Enfold is filled with challenge and hurt, but also fantasy, wonder and the joy in new and ever-changing experiences.
